\u2022 Consider your goals. What is it you\u2019re looking for in a landscaping company? What are your goals for your outside space? Are you looking for regular maintenance or a complete redesign? Coming up with an idea of what your needs are will help you narrow down which landscape company has experience in that area.
\u2022\u00a0Understand their qualifications. When interviewing landscape companies ask them some important questions. Are they licensed and insured? What type of professional associations do they belong to? Do they have any certifications or training in an area you are interested in?
\u2022 Ask for referrals. Take a drive around and look for properties that use landscapers you are interested in. Talk to neighbors or similar businesses. Ask local nurseries who they would recommend and who they work with regularly. Look at pictures of their previous work.
\u2022\u00a0Interview the company. Talk to them about their years of experience. Do they use subcontractors? If so, how do they choose who to work with? What does their contract look like? Ask to see a sample contract before you sign. What is their typical cost and length of time to completion for what you are looking to do?
\u2022\u00a0Know your budget. Are you looking for regular maintenance service? A one-time job? Know what you can spend and if that aligns with what the company can offer. If you are looking for a seasonal program, understand what that looks like and what services are offered at each time of the year.
